Capsule Wardrobe: The SALINA Essentials

Eight pieces, twenty-plus outfits — how a wardrobe that actually works for you comes together.

A capsule wardrobe isn't about doing without — it's the opposite: fewer decisions in the morning, more confidence in how you show up. The trick isn't the number of pieces, it's making sure every single one works with every other one. Here's our edit of essentials that can carry you through an entire month of outfits without ever feeling repetitive.

The eight core pieces

  • 01Tailored Blazer, SandThe anchor of every look — from denim to a silk skirt
  • 02Ribbed Tee, CreamLayering piece and standalone in one
  • 03Wide-Leg Trousers, TaupeOffice-ready without ever feeling stiff
  • 04Midi Skirt, NavyCarries you from day to evening
  • 05Oversized Knit Sweater, EcruTexture instead of print
  • 06Straight-Fit Jeans, Rinse WashThe quiet counterpart to the blazer
  • 07Silk Blouse, Off-WhiteThe quiet showstopper for special occasions
  • 08Trench Coat, CamelTies every piece above together

The logic behind it

Every piece is deliberately kept in a color that works with at least four others. Instead of leaning on contrast, we work in tonal gradients: cream, sand, taupe, ecru, and navy as a quiet counterpoint. That means there's never a "this doesn't match" moment — every combination looks intentional, even when it was thrown together in thirty seconds.

Three combinations to start with

Office: Wide-leg trousers + ribbed tee + blazer, trench coat on top for the commute.

Weekend: Straight-fit jeans + oversized knit sweater, worn relaxed with flat shoes.

Evening: Midi skirt + silk blouse, blazer draped loosely over the shoulders.

A tip for building it out

Don't start with the statement piece — start with the trousers or skirt you'll wear most often. From there, the rest of the wardrobe fills in naturally, piece by piece, without impulse buys that end up hanging unworn in the closet.
